Highlights;This is a camping safari that will give you the haven of Tanzania. The safari takes you to the famous Ngorongoro crater known to be the biggest crater in the world ,the Serengeti National park the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest and the L. Manyara famous for the tree climbing lions. Your safari will leave you breathless as you have a wide variety of flora and fauna to view with wide range of habitat blending with the hospitality of the local communities.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi - Arusha

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our tour manager who will welcome you and transfer you to a Shuttle Bus for Arusha town arriving at Impala Hotel ready for Lunch. (We assume that you arrive in the morning by 6 a.m.) If you arrive in the day, then you will stay overnight in Nairobi and transfer to Arusha the next morning. This is a 5 hour trip across the border at Namanga.( There are two departure trips to Arusha at 8.00am and 2.00pm.)

Dinner and Overnight at Impala hotel or at Meridian Hotel in Nairobi if you arrive in the late afternoon ready for the next days trip to Arusha.

Day 2: Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater.

While at Arusha, you will be received by our tour guide who will brief you on the tour then depart Arusha after breakfast to Ngorongoro crater rim.

Lunch, Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast, take picnic lunch with you and descend into the crater floor for a half day Crater tour. See the numerous wildlife species including large groups of mammals as they browse in this animal paradise or seek shelter from the tropical heat.

Ngorongoro Crater: Covering 260 sq. km, the crater is a great wildlife attraction. The drive commences with the 600 m descent to the crater floor, a magnificent natural amphitheatre. Covering 260 sq. km, the crater is an attraction in its own right and is one of the wonders of the natural world. The crater supports a year round resident population of a variety of wildlife. You will have no trouble spotting lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and many species of plain animals- wildebeest, zebra, reedbuck, Thompson gazelle and many more.

Day 4: Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara National Park.

After breakfast, departs for Lake Manyara arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives to search for the curious tree-climbing lions among others.

Lake Manyara National Park: The park covers 330 sq. km, 70% of which is occupied by the lake. Its varied ecosystem consists of ground water forests, acacia woodland, open savannah grassland along the lakeshores and sustains a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five -Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and Buffalo.

Day 5: Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast drive to the vast Serengeti arriving for lunch. After lunch go for game drive to dusk.

The Serengeti is probably the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world. Within its 15,000 sq km area it hosts 3 million large mammals. More than 35 species of plain animals- zebra, wildebeest, eland, giraffe, and others are found here. And so for the big five: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino.

The park is the staging zone for one the most spectacular events in the natural world- the annual migration of wildebeest. This commences around June when over 1 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle head for the Maasai Mara in Kenya in search of pasture. They are followed closely by the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures. The Serengeti also has over 500 species of birds.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park (Full Day)

Morning and afternoon game drive still in Serengeti Park. You may opt to have your early pre-breakfast game drive by use of hot air balloon and later return to the lodge for your late breakfast. After your lunch have your game drive and may opt to have a tour to the nearby Maasai Villages and learn more about them.

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Serengeti (full day)

After breakfast go for morning and afternoon game drive at the Serengeti with picnic. lunch.

OR

Balloon Safari in the morning and continue with your game viewing drives after breakfast in the bush ( at an Extra cost).

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 8: Serengeti - Arusha

After breakfast depart the Serengeti for Arusha arriving in time for lunch.

Dinner and overnight at Impala hotel.

Day 9: Arusha -Nairobi -Departure

After breakfast depart Arusha for Nairobi using shuttle bus via the Namanga border arriving in the early afternoon for lunch have the afternoon for leisure and relaxation at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport waiting for your departure flight schedule.

Note: If you depart on 21st August, 2008, then the other 1 day before departure can be spent in Nairobi doing excursions before your flight.

Total Cost: US $ 2450 per person sharing.

• Park entrance fee at Ngorongoro, Serengeti and Lake Manyara
• All meals on safari as stated in the itinerary
• Service of an English speaking driver guide
• Transport based on a 4WD safari vehicle with pop up roof for game viewing from Arusha.
• Driver allowances and park fees for vehicle and driver
• Game drives as per the Itinerary

• Hot air Balloon flight in Serengeti Game Reserve– US$ 499 per person extra
• Extras at the lodges –tips, drinks, telephone, laundry or any other personal expenses
• International flight Entry Visa to Tanzania
