8 Days - 7 Nights - Voluntourism in Kenya's Kibera Slum Children centre and school

Trip highlights: This is an eight days volunteerism package which takes you to the kenyan poor in the kibera slums for you to teach in a Slum Children centre and a slum school and help in the cooking in the kitchen. You will stay in a home stead with a family and travel using the local matatu transport to the Centre where you are required to impart your teaching skills. The kids ages range from one month to over 18 years, staying within and outside the centres. We expect you to meet your dailly expenses which include; transportation, food and accommodation.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi City

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international Airport, you will be met by our tour manager who will receive you, brief you on your Volunteerism project and transfer you to your host in a Nairobi City homestead for check in and orientation.

You will be taken around the City for orientation and eat the Local traditional foods while in Nairobi. ( Assuming you arrive in the morning, you will have a Nairobi city tour with your host and go for a traditional Lunch served at the famous joint – kosewe - Ranalo Foods)

All meals and overnight at a homestead in Nairobi city.

Day 2 – 7 : Nairobi City - Tunza Childrens' Centre and Baraka School in Kibera slums

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the above children's Centre for introduction and orientation. We will then leave you there with the Manager of the Centre for allocation of duties. We will come for you on the first day and show you your routes for you to travel on your own for the remaining days.You will teach small children how to write and read, feed them at lunch time and make your donations if any for the centre. Lunch will be at the centre and dinner and overnight at the Homestead.

Day 8 : Nairobi City - Departure

On this day, we will treat you for a visit to the Animal orphanage and the Safari Walk at the gates of the National park. Lunch will be at the Carnivore restaurant. After lunc, we will visit the Giraffe Centre and after which, transfer to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.

End of Safari.
