Niche Africa holidays is a tour company which takes it’s clients to various homes in urban areas in Africa, ranches and rural villages. We are based in Nairobi, Kenya where we have started this new concept and already we are receiving visitors from all over the world, who are not interested in staying in various luxurious hotels and lodges but prefers staying with families and sharing their daily chores altogether.

Home stays tourism is a new concept world over and is soon replacing the normal hotel accommodation in the years to come. In view of this Niche Africa Holidays has made arrangements with various families both in rural and urban centre’s including ranches including in the East and South African countries which are offering home stay accommodation.

East Africa consists of five countries namely, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania which includes Zanzibar and Pemba islands. From all these countries, Niche Africa Holidays has made arrangements with various individual homes and ranches within the rural and urban set-ups in various cities and towns including villages which constitute the Niche rural home stays.

Kenya plays a pivotal part in home stays in East Africa. We at Niche Africa Holidays have arrangements for home stays in Kenya in the following set-ups;

Urban home stays in Kenya
These are in the following places in Kenya: Nairobi city, Kisumu city, Mombasa city, Nakuru city, Eldoret Town, Kericho Town, and other towns which have decent accommodation with ample security.

Rural home-stays in Kenya
For those who shun city and urban home stays we have made arrangements with rural home stays families which include home stays in Ngong area of Nairobi city, around lake Victoria in Nyanza Province, the tea land of Kericho, the South Nyanza rural set-up which includes Karachuonyo, Kisii and Ndhiwa areas . In Nyanza we have our own rural home stays in Alego - Siaya in some remote area called Ulafu where Mr. Austin Omala Obare and Gilbert Adongo Oduor have since turned some houses within their homesteads to be accommodation facilities for foreign visitors. From these homes, visitors can visit various community projects which are at a distance. The community projects include: - village school buildings, women groups activities, boating and fishing on Lake Kanyaboli, agro-tourism at Dominion farms at the delta of River Yala among others.

In Nyahera area of kisumu, we have the home of Mr. Eric Ounga whose homestead over looks the City of Kisumu with a panoramic view of both the Kisumu city and the Kisumu Airport from Riat Hills.
We go further to the home of a prominent business man in Kamito in Asembo whose homestead is at the bank of Lake Victoria facing the lake with an extension of his land touching the Lake. This home has a boat which clients can use for boating and fishing while residing at the home.

In karachuonyo, we have a prominent businessman cum politician whose homestead is located in Pala area , a short distance from Kendu Bay. These are just a few of the many home stay arrangements that we provide.

Uganda being a country of bananas and humble tribesmen of Banganda offers a conducive home stays within Kampala city and around Kampala. Those visitors visiting can have home stays arrangements made through us- Niche Africa Holidays so that we can place them in both urban and rural set-ups in Uganda.

Urban home-stays in Uganda
Urban home-stays in Uganda can be obtained from the major cities which includes:- Kampala, Jinja, Mbarara and Tororo not to mention Mbale and Mukono. Due to the instability in the North we prefer placing visitors in the Southern part where there is ample security.

Rural home-stays in Uganda
Rural home-stays in Uganda can be placed in the rural villages away from the city centers and urban set-ups which include the islands on Lake Victoria for example Sesse and Ngamba islands all of these inside Lake Victoria. From the Banganda land you will find several decent houses which are built as if they are in an urban setup together with car parking lot and swimming pools which are tended too. Being a swampy country, agricultural plays a major role in village individuals. Uganda home stays offers the best toursic atmosphere for researchers and educational students in various agricultural, wildlife, and other research activities.

Tanzania is the largest country within the East African countries, in Tanzania Home stays can be done in both rural and urban centres just as mentioned earlier.

Urban home stays in Tanzania
These can be arranged in the city of Dar es salaam, Arusha, Bangamoyo, Moshi, Mwanza and any other town within Tanzania. The most places where we have placed home stays are in Arusha where clients stay in urban homes and visit Arusha National park and Kilimanjaro, not to mention Mt. Meru climbing. Dar es Salaam is the second place that we have been placing people in home stays within the urban area. However Zanzibar and Pemba islands, being the luxurious holiday resorts have since been liked by clients who prefer staying in home stays in order to experience the lifestyle of the indigenous and their daily activities.
