Uganda Entertainment Tours

Uganda is known for its cultural entertainment events. Uganda has cultural dancers who perform in various hotels and events within Kampala city and its suburbs. The Buganda and the Banyankole tribes are known for their vast culture dancers and singers. The Ndere center, based in Kampala city does the equivalent of Bomas of Kenya.

Kampala by Night
Kampala city is the most preferred entertainment city in East Africa by many tourists due to its security. This city is so secure by night to an extent that you can walk to any destination without being stopped by any one. The Kampala night spots include among others the following:-

Rock bar
Since its inception, Rock Bar has commonly been referred to as “at the Rocks”. It is one of the best places to enjoy a night out in the city of Kampala. Rock bar is located within the Speke hotel complex in a calm, modern and clean are of the city centre. It has flat screens, a well stocked bar, papyrus reeds and stream of water running through that makes you feel at home. The bar gets busier at night, and the party does not stop till sunrise. Everyday at ‘on the rocks’ is a theme night with a particular kind of music being played by the resident DJ although weekends are “variety nights”

Ange noir discotheque
Ange Noir Discotheque is Uganda’s oldest surviving nightclub having opened in 1998. Ange Noir has definitely grown from strength to strength since then and now boasts of five floors. The five floors are spread out in the club’s three section of Ange Noir, Ange Exec and Ange Mystique For visitors to Uganda I would recommend you check out Ange Mystique because it has a world class feel to it, with excellent service, good air conditioning and lighting. Ange noir is located on 1st Street in industrial area.

Kampala casino
If you are feeling lucky and want to gamble your way to loads of Uganda shillings, then you should try out Kampala’s oldest Casino-Kampala Casino. Kampala Casino’s set up matches international standards. Expect slot machines, roulette tables, poker, to name but a few. But gambling is not all there is at Kampala Casino; there is also a continental restaurant with delectable food, a bar with a wide selection of wine and a stage where jazz bands occasionally play to gamblers. Kampala Casino is located on the 2nd Floor of Pan Africa House, Kimathi Avenue.

Just kickin
Just Kickin (JK) could probably pass for Kampala’s finest sports pub. Just Kickin has a ‘Sporty” look with sports paraphernalia hanging up on the walls (some autographed by sports legends) their TV screens are also strategically positioned for easy viewing. Just kickin is one of the best places to unwind, after a long day and get down to a pint (beer) but beware, Just Kickin has a British pub service arrangement, so don’t expect waiters to come to take your order, here you walk to the counter, then make your order pay and walk away with your drink. Just kickin is located on Cooper Road in Kisementi, a Kampala suburb.

Bowldwings café
Boldwins café is arguably the ‘most happening’ nightspot in Kampala today. It’s not that fantastic a joint though, but Kampalans seem to have fallen in love with its set up and good music. Its outdoor Alfresco provides a unique view of Kampala, and the cool breeze is another plus. However, libellous their service is slow (due to the crowds) and there is a shortage of washrooms.
