Trip Highlights: This is an exciting safari that takes you to visit some of the best wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. This safari starts upon picked up at you hotel in Nairobi and will take you to visit Amboseli National Park and finally to the Tsavo National Parks. You will travel with a professional driver/guide and in a private safari minivan and spend the nights in lodges on full board basis.


Day 1: Arrival – Nairobi

Pick up from the airport on arrival and transfer you to Sarova Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

In the Morning, you will be met and welcomed by the driver/guide and briefing will be done before being taken to the Hotel. You will immediately depart to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge before departing for an afternoon game drive within the park.

Camp: Kibo Safari Camp

Day 3: Amboseli National park

In the morning, after breakfast you will check out of the lodge and depart for morning game drives within Amboseli for a chance to spot the wildlife when it is most active. The day will be spent exploring this park. The waters from melted snow drain down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains, creating a green belt of swampland amidst dusty plains. Here elephant, buffalo, lion, cheetah, wildebeest, hyena, jackal, warthogs, zebra and the Maasai giraffe are likely to be seen.

Amboseli National Park lays North West of Mt. Kilimanjaro, on the border with Tanzania. Large concentrations of wildlife occur here in the dry season, making Amboseli a popular touristic destination. The Park embodies five main wildlife habitats which include the open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush land, swamps and marshland. There is also a temporary lake, Lake Amboseli, those floods during years of heavy rainfall. The Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty. The landscape is dominated by Mount Kilimanjaro and massive numbers of elephants, approximately one thousand elephants. Also, its snowcapped summit dominates the landscape and on a clear day it is easily visible during early mornings and the late afternoons. This makes it a perfect spot for photograph taking.

 Lodge: Ol Tukai Lodge

Day 4: Amboseli National park– Lake Nakuru National park

After breakfast you will depart for Lake Nakuru to arrive in good time for lunch at Flamingo hill tented camp. Afternoon game drives at the pink lake famed for pink flamingoes and other species of birds.

Lake Nakuru's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo's and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are all residents here.

Camp: Flamingo hill tented camp

Day 5: Lake Nakuru- Masai Mara

Early morning you will be picked up from the hotel for game drive then return to the camp for breakfast, after that you will exit the park and drive for Masai Mara. The land of vast migrating animals to arrive in good time. After lunch, you will be taken for a game drive at Maasai Mara.

Camp: Mara Enchoro Camp

Day6 /7: Masai Mara

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5 with a possibility of seeing the spectacular annual wildebeest migration that takes place from July through to October.
Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara. A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August. The reserve abounds with bird-life since dose to about 452 species have been recorded.

Camp: Mara Enchoro Camp

Day 8: Masai Mara -Nairobi

Early in the Morning you will depart your hotel for the Early game drives then return to the Camp for breakfast. Immediately after breakfast you will exit the park and drive to Nairobi to where the safari ends.

End of Safari
